Altair is the 12th brightest star in the sky and is also the name of our brilliant home at The Sea Ranch - a unique community focused on the preservation of the spectacular northern California coast.

Altair is the anchor star of the Summer Triangle, the "soaring Eagle" or Aquina, the Lover's card of the Tarot and was the name of the first personal computer. On a clear and starry night, you can see Altair from the great room of the house!

It has been our goal to create and share a home that will be an unforgettable vacation experience. To quote Sheila and Tom, our first guests… "We've been coming to Sea Ranch for many years, and we've never seen a house so thoughtfully put together, with every comfort and convenience."
